Larry was introduced to bridge at home and at age 15, he met Herb Sachs, one of four bridge players who dominated the scene in Pittsburgh. Herb encouraged Larry to play in tournaments where he won numerous regional, and National events. Larry died suddenly in 1994, at the age of 49. He left us with strong memories of his enthusiasm for bridge, his expertise and his willingness to help others become better players. He mentored many partners who became quality players, and especially encouraged women players to realize their potential. See the Past Winners
